Firearms, Art, Cars, Boats, and Business Interests Get Appraised by AppraiseItNow Across Michigan for Probate, Insurance Claims, Divorce, and Bankruptcy

AppraiseItNow appraises guns, antique artwork, everything from a car collection to a high-mileage semi, boats on the Great Lakes and inland lakes, fitness and machine-shop equipment, and closely held companies for probate inventories, insurance claims, divorce, bankruptcy schedules, loan collateral, and charitable donations in Michigan. The probate inventory is due 91 days after appointment with each item at fair market value as of the date of death, and when a fire-policy claim stalls over the amount of loss, the Michigan Insurance Code lets either side demand appraisal, with each party naming a competent, independent appraiser.

Most reports are completed online from photographs and documents you upload; onsite inspection is available statewide, Upper Peninsula included, for fleets, shop equipment, full-house estates, and collections where condition drives value. Fees are fixed and quoted before work begins, and if you have a 91-day inventory date, a February 20 personal property statement, or a court date, we confirm up front whether we can meet it. We do not appraise real estate; for a home, farm, or commercial building we refer you to a state-licensed real estate appraiser.

  • I needed an IRS-qualified appraisal for an unusual and costly piece of medical equipment. AppraiseItNow was able to provide me exactly what I needed on a timely basis. The personnel at the company are very friendly and helpful. I would definitely use them again.

Medical Equipment Appraisal for Charitable Donation

  • They appraised an older trailer for me that required a bonded title. They were great with communication and it only took about 2 weeks to get a very nice detailed appraisal report, which finding comps for older trailers is not straight forward. Highly recommend!

    Trailer Appraisal for Title Bond

  • My daughter had purchased a very collectible 2003 Mustang Cobra terminator just 3 months before her accident with 50,000 miles on it, for 30,000 dollars. We were experiencing some very heavy rains and she hydroplaned and smashed into a guard rail and totaled her car. The insurance company offered her $18,000, but we told them that was an insult to this car. We kept going round and round with them but they were not budging. Finally we googled an independent appraiser and found AppraiseItNow! Their appraised value was 26,462. They negotiated with the insurance for us and we ended up with 25,900. They were awesome and helped us get much closer to the appropriate value of the Cobra. Absolutely worth the price we paid. Highly recommended!

    Car Appraisal for Insurance Claim

  • AppraiseItNow Inc. is the best company I was lucky to find by accident. I was looking for someone to appraise cabinets for a donation to charity. I asked for multiple referrals, called multiple appraisal services, etc., and no one could help me. I found AppraiseItNow and from the moment I started working with them, they were wonderful! Joe guided me on what I needed to send him, what needed to be done and stayed in touch with me the entire time. Their customer service is OUTSTANDING and a welcome surprise in today’s world where good customer service is an anomaly! They returned an appraisal in a timely manner, it was clear, concise, cost-effective and exactly what I needed. They followed up with me multiple times to ensure that I received it and everything was OK. My CPA is also thrilled to have them as an accredited appraisal service he can use for other clients. I rarely leave reviews, but I could not pass giving them 5 stars and I’d give 10 if possible! THANK YOU JOE AND ALL AT APPRAISEITNOW!!👊🏼

Personal Property Appraisal for Charitable Donation

  • I've dealt with several appraisers, and this was my first time using AppraiseItNow. They were by far the best. They did a great job. Their process was honest, efficient, and very detailed. Their staff was highly credentialed, and they provided IRS-compliant guidelines in their evaluation process, which was exactly what we were looking for. Their customer service also had prompt response times and was a pleasure to work with. If I need this service again, I won't go anywhere else.

Personal Property Appraisal for Charitable Donation

  • My wife and I purchased a property that included a double-wide mobile home, which we decided to donate to a local charitable organization that provides housing for low-income families. This type of donation required a formal appraisal to qualify for an IRS tax deduction, so we reached out to Appraise It Now. From the start, they were able to clearly answer all of our questions about both the appraisal process and the tax deduction requirements. We provided photos and additional details, and within 10 days we received a thorough, well-prepared report that included all the necessary IRS forms. I’m giving Appraise It Now a five-star review because communication was excellent throughout the entire process. Everyone I spoke with was helpful, friendly, and professional, and emails were always answered quickly. We were completely satisfied with the experience. Thank you!

Michigan FAQ

Does a Michigan bonded title require a professional appraisal?

No. Under MCL 257.217, when the Secretary of State is not satisfied as to ownership of a vehicle worth more than $2,500 or less than ten years old, it may require a surety bond equal to twice the value of the vehicle as determined by the Secretary of State, not by the applicant. An independent appraisal still helps when a vehicle is modified, restored, or otherwise poorly represented by standard pricing guides.

How does the appraisal clause in a Michigan fire policy work?

Either the insured or the insurer can demand appraisal in writing when they cannot agree on the actual cash value or amount of loss. Under MCL 500.2833 each side names a competent, independent appraiser within 20 days of the demand, the two appraisers pick a competent, impartial umpire (or ask the circuit court to pick one if they cannot agree within 15 days), and the appraisers then set the loss item by item. We serve as independent appraisers in those proceedings.

When is the Michigan personal property statement due?

February 20 each year, or the next business day when that falls on a weekend or holiday, under MCL 211.19. The statement reports the personal property the business owned or held on December 31 of the prior year to the local assessor, and an itemized appraisal is the fastest way to support the values it shows.
